Claims & Cancellations
This policy outlines the procedures and requirements for order cancellations, returns, delivery inspections, and damage claims.
Orders may be cancelled and refunded in full within 24 hours of the original order date and time. After this 24-hour period, orders are no longer eligible for a full refund. Depending on the stage of production or processing, applicable fees may include processing charges, restocking fees, or production costs already incurred.
Due to the custom-built nature of garage doors and related products, all sales are considered final. Returns are only accepted in cases of verified manufacturer defects or damage occurring during transit. Products damaged due to improper handling after delivery will not be eligible for return or replacement.
Garage Door Distributors is not responsible for orders placed with incorrect measurements. Orders resulting in incorrect door sizes, track configurations, or application issues due to measurement errors by the purchaser are not eligible for return or refund.
All shipments must be fully inspected prior to acceptance. This includes opening cartons or crates to check for concealed damage or missing items. Failure to inspect prior to acceptance may limit the ability to file a claim.
Upon delivery, the Buyer must sign the carrier’s receipt or bill of lading and clearly note any visible damage or shortages. This documentation is required to support any freight claim.
If damage or shortages are identified, the Buyer must notify Garage Door Distributors immediately via email. Claims must include details of the issue, carrier name, and freight bill number. All claims must be submitted within five (5) days of delivery.
Products involved in a damage or defect claim must remain at the delivery location for inspection. A Garage Door Distributors representative may need to evaluate the product before approval. Once a valid claim or manufacturer defect is confirmed, replacement materials will be processed and shipped with priority handling.
Most sectional door orders ship via company trucks from regional distribution centers. In some cases, shipments may be handled by LTL (less-than-truckload) carriers. Delivery methods do not alter inspection or claim requirements.
Timely inspection and reporting are critical. Failure to follow these procedures may result in denial of claims or replacement eligibility.
