Shipping Policy
This policy outlines shipping methods, delivery expectations, delivery-cost logic, and customer responsibilities for orders placed through Garage Door Distributors.
Orders are typically processed within 2–3 business days. Processing times may vary based on product type, order complexity, and current production schedules. Orders are not processed on weekends or holidays.
Small items such as parts and openers ship via standard carriers such as FedEx or UPS. Garage doors and large items may ship by company truck, regional delivery truck, or LTL freight carrier depending on location, product size, and order requirements.
Standard items ship within normal carrier timelines. Garage doors and custom-built products may require extended lead times, typically 6–8 weeks or longer depending on manufacturing conditions, material availability, and distribution schedules.
Shipping rates for standard items may be calculated at checkout. For garage doors and large freight items, delivery pricing may be based on distance, fuel costs, carrier charges, route logistics, and unloading requirements.
Garage doors may qualify for free delivery within a defined local radius from a distribution center or approved delivery route. Due to fuel price volatility, deliveries outside the standard service radius may include mileage-based charges, carrier charges, or fuel-related adjustments. Final delivery cost will be confirmed before shipment whenever possible.
Delivery appointments are scheduled in advance. An adult age 18 or older must be present to accept delivery. Delivery is curbside or driveway only unless otherwise agreed in writing. The customer is responsible for moving materials beyond the drop location.
Many deliveries are handled by a single driver. For larger or heavier orders, the customer must provide adequate assistance and equipment to unload materials safely. Failure to provide assistance may result in rescheduling or additional charges.
All products must be inspected at the time of delivery. Any visible damage, shortage, or freight issue must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing. Failure to document damage at delivery may affect claim eligibility.
When products are shipped by a third-party carrier, freight damage claims may need to be handled through the carrier. Customers must preserve packaging, document damage with photos, and notify Garage Door Distributors immediately so the claim process can begin.
Delivery timelines are estimates only. Delays may occur due to manufacturing schedules, supply chain conditions, weather, route availability, equipment limitations, or transportation constraints. We will communicate major delays when possible.
We do not ship to P.O. Boxes. Garage Door Distributors currently ships within the United States only.
Due to fuel price volatility and freight conditions, delivery costs and timelines may vary. The calculator is provided only to give customers a general idea of potential delivery costs. Final shipping and delivery charges are calculated during checkout based on the order, destination, carrier, product dimensions, and applicable delivery requirements.
